Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure

For the third year, Lisa is walking in the three day – 60 mile walk in Boston.  To do so, she needs to raise $2,300.   Her personal reasons for participating are below.  To support Lisa please visit this link and donate to her account [NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL]:

We are also organizing a Golf Tournament on July 9th, from which all proceeds will be donated to this great cause.  Contact us if you are interested in participating, sponsoring or want to find out more about the golf tournament.  We will be posting more online soon regarding this event.

Thank you so much in advance for your consideration!

From Lisa:
“The reason for this letter to you today is because breast cancer hit my mother, Roberta J. Marecek about 6 years ago. She was diagnosed,  she had a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and all the cancer treatment.  She was such a trooper through it all but really never was 100% again, as she was diagnosed with Leukemia May 2007 and she died on October 8, 2007.

She was more than a statistic to me, she was my mom, my children’s grandmother and our family’s glue that made us work as one. Walking 60 miles is the least I could do for a mom  that did everything for us, as she was always involved in helping others. Being able to raise money to keep one more mother safe to see her children and grandchildren grow up, makes it worth every step to me.

-Lisa”
